Basic Wi-Fi router settings

If your router supports both the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands, but only one Wi-Fi name appears on the mobile phone’s Wi-Fi search page, follow the steps below.

  • To access the administration (settings), enter the Wi-Fi router address in a web browser. The address is usually listed on a label attached to the bottom / back of the Wi-Fi router (eg 192.168.10.1, 10.0.0.1, etc.).
  • Go to the Wi-Fi settings page and set your own Wi-Fi network name (SSID) for each band.
  • For example, you can set YourNetwork24 for the 2.4GHz band.
  • For example, you can set YourNetwork50 for the 5GHz band.
  • Enter the same password for both bands.
  • After completing the previous settings, the Wi-Fi settings page on the mobile phone will display the new Wi-Fi network names.

Note: After changing the Wi-Fi network names, you will need to reconnect all devices that use this Wi-Fi router. The password remains the same unless changed.
